Alex Greaves, Jordan Smith & Ryan Smith

Jordan & Ryan are brothers most well known for their work as one half of indie band ‘bdrmm’. Working alongside long time collaborator and producer Alex Greaves, together they have crafted and released 3 critically acclaimed records including their debut ‘bedroom’ which is widely regarded as a “modern day shoegaze masterpiece” (NME mag). They have since developed their sound incorporating sound design, electronic drums and synthesisers.

Alex has spent 10 years working as a music producer and multi instrumentalist at renowned recording studio ‘The Nave’ in Leeds making genre spanning records released by major and indie record labels.

During their time making music together they discovered a mutual love for film and soundtracks and often found themselves talking about movies and tv throughout recording sessions. After the creation of “Microtonic” (the third studio album by bdrmm) Jordan, Ryan and Alex immediately began to work on writing and producing music with film and tv in mind.

Some are sketches of instrumental pieces written in isolation whereas as others are re-imagined scores of scenes from movies they have carefully chosen. Each piece is composed with a combination of live instrumentation and both analog and digital equipment, with the aim of creating unique palettes suited to film whilst also encompassing the trios personal tastes.
